The Face Behind the Brand

Hi! I’m Estrella Mireles, owner of Star’s Beauty Bar. Estrella in Spanish means Star, so that’s what most people call me, you can too :)

I’m a proud Latina, daughter to my immigrant parents. They’re who I have to thank for my hard work ethic. They moved to the US after getting married for a better life and to start a family because they wanted my siblings and I to have more opportunities than they did, and for that I am forever grateful. 

Since I was little, I’ve always been ambitious. I was always finding ways to make money, whether it was selling candy, clothes, making jewelry, etc. After high school I took an interest in makeup and realized I could make it a side hustle. I started to take clients for school dances then eventually weddings, etc. I did this on the weekends when I wasn’t working my regular job. I later learned about lash extensions & grew a huge interest. I was fascinated by the fact that I could fully customize a set of lashes and that they would last weeks. Fast forward a couple of years, through different jobs I had I finally saved up enough to take a classic lash course, then the following year I took an advanced course that made me realize that lashing was my passion and that I too wanted to educate others on the artistry of lash extensions one day. 

Since then, I have received my license as an Esthetician and incorporated more services to my menu than just lashes. I also offer Lash Lifts, Brow Laminations, Facials & Permanent Makeup. I am now also a Certified Lash Educator, classes will be in session this coming March 2024 and will continue all year round.

Star’s Beauty Bar has been in business for 3 years now. All three years I have been nominated for the CityView Awards where local businesses are voted for and recognized for their hard work. I won 1st place my 2nd year in business, and this 3rd year I won Best Local Place for Permanent Makeup. I am excited to see where my business takes me and I am eagerly anticipating our collaboration.
